Science Olympiad

The Westfield Area High School Science Olympiad team competed at the state tournament on Saturday, April 18 in Medford. Watching these students compete was nothing short of inspiring. From the high-stakes physics of a bungee fall to the complex data analysis of satellite imagery, our Pioneers proved they can go toe-to-toe with the best in the state. The level of focus and teamwork we saw in the labs and testing rooms was next-level.

Huge congratulations to our State Medalists:

  • Bungee Drop: 3rd Place

  • Protein Modeling: 3rd Place

  • Remote Sensing: 3rd Place

  • Dynamic Planet: 4th Place

  • Rocks and Minerals: 4th Place

  • Experimental Design: 4th Place

It’s not just about the hardware, though. It’s about the months of preparation, the broken prototypes, and the "aha!" moments that led to this weekend. We are so proud of the way this team represented Westfield—with curiosity, integrity, and a whole lot of brainpower.

Thank you to everyone who supported the team this season.
