This information may be in hard copy or digital format, and may be stored in the District or offsite with a third-party provider.

Data/information collected by the District shall be classified as Confidential, Controlled, or Published. Data/information will be considered Controlled until identified otherwise.

Phone numbers provided as part of the SMS consent process and student registration process will not be shared with any third parties for any purpose. Families have several ways to consent to receiving SMS communications from the School District of Westfield.

Opt-In Method:

Families may opt in to receive SMS messages from the School District of Westfield in the following ways:

• as part of student registration

Types of SMS Communications:

By consenting to receive text messages from the School District of Westfield, you could receive messages related to the following:

• Reminders of school closures

• Posted grades

• Student absences

• Meeting confirmations and reminders

• Important academic and extra-curricular notices
