Six Westfield FFA Members traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, to attend the 99TH National FFA Convention. During the trip, members toured CNH Industrial to learn how Case IH and New Holland tractors are manufactured, visited Milwaukee Pretzel Company, and explored Indiana’s indoor shrimp farm. At the convention, members attended general sessions, participated in student workshops, explored the exhibit hall, and listened to the keynote speaker. The group also enjoyed a Ty Myers concert and spent time bonding as a chapter while exploring downtown Indianapolis. The trip provided members with valuable learning experiences, opportunities to explore different areas of agriculture, and memories to take home!

On October 21st, twenty upperclassmen traveled with the school counselors to Madison College for the Health Pathways Field Trip. Students were able to explore various health programs and careers to include Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Tech, Vet Tech, Radiology, Phlebotomy, Optometry, Medical Assistant, and more. Students really enjoyed the Simulation Room which was set up exactly like a hospital setting. There were several life-like manikins throughout the simulation room and students were able to check a patient's pulse, hold a baby in the delivery room, practice using surgical tech tools, and suction fluids from a patient in surgery! Students further learned pathways from Madison College instructors and then had the opportunity to talk with several employers from various clinics and hospitals in the area. We sincerely thank Madison College for this wonderful opportunity!

🌱 Spotting Science in Action: Westfield Creek Stream Monitoring! 🌊
Our Westfield Area High School AP Biology students have been busy trading their textbooks for boots and putting real-world science to work!
Through an incredible partnership with the Water Action Volunteers program and the Marquette County Land and Water Conservation Department, our students took on the role of field scientists to monitor the health of our very own Westfield Creek. 🧪📈
Here’s how they did it:
In the Field: Students gathered hands-on stream monitoring data, measuring everything from water quality to local aquatic life.
In the Lab: They analyzed their findings and created detailed trifold presentations breaking down the different elements of stream health.
In the Community: To wrap up the project, students formally presented their data and insights directly to the experts at the Marquette County Land and Water Conservation Department!
We are so proud of these students for using their education to protect and understand our local environment. #Pioneers
