Fifth Grade Students at Westfield Elementary School took a field trip to Brakebush, Bros. While there, students took a live tour through the plant to see how chicken was processed and boxed. They learned how to put on the uniform that each of the workers must wear and found out what each color represented that they saw throughout the plant. They created their own type of chicken, named it, and decided what types of seasonings they would use to make their chicken. Finally, they visited the Research and Development lab where they had cookies, caramel apples, and took part in a "sticky and icky" lab. Students were even able to try some of the chicken for lunch! Thank you to Brakebush for the awesome experience! #Pioneers
