Congratulations to the cast and crew of "Beauty and the Beast" , and the recipients for the 2025 Jerry Awards! The Jerry Awards, named after Madison-area philanthropist and arts supporter W. Jerome Frautschi, encourages, recognizes and honors excellence in musical theater. Over 100 high schools and community theaters from 31 Wisconsin counties participated in this year’s Jerry Awards. Westfield Area High School's production of "Beauty and the Beast" was nominated for 13 awards. The show received 5 Jerry Awards from those 13 nominations: Ben A. for Outstanding Lead Performer, Ron Anderson and Linda Metoxen for Outstanding Set Design, and Katie M. and Patrick M. for Spirit Awards. The DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program is a nationwide initiative that teaches students the skills they need to resist peer pressure and make safe, responsible choices. On Wednesday, the 5th grade students at Westfield Elementary celebrated their DARE graduation, marking the completion of the program and their commitment to making positive decisions.
