Celebrating our music program
Westfield High School has nearly 3x the state average in student music participation.
More than half of Westfield High School students make music every single day!
🥁 52.5% of WHS students are in Band, Choir, or both
🎺 18.3% statewide average (most recent available data)
How music education helps:
Better grades: A large study in the Journal of Educational Psychology showed that high school students who take music classes score higher in math, science, and English than peers who do not take music. www.apa.org/news/press/releases/2019/06/music-students-score-better
THANK YOU to our dedicated music educators, supportive families, and talented students for keeping Pioneer Pride sounding so strong!

Did you know?
Over the next five years, the School District of Westfield faces a total projected budget gap of between $6 million and $8 million, depending on whether the state keeps its $325 per-pupil increase.
Ballot Question:
To maintain financial stability, the Board of Education voted unanimously to place a $1.4 million non-recurring operational referendum for five years on the November 3, 2026 ballot.
What will this referendum fund?
It would preserve the essential services our residents and families expect: strong academic foundations in reading, writing, and math; career skills and trades programs; quality teacher/staff retention; safe schools; reliable transportation; and well-maintained buildings.

Pioneer Family Update - Week Two!
Please click HERE to see what is happening this coming week.

There will be no school on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 8. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend! #Pioneers

6th graders had the opportunity to attend 6th Grade Boot Camp to help them be more prepared for the transition into middle school. Students learned how to read their schedules, practiced opening their lockers, ran through their schedules and found all of their classes. They also played team building games, went on a scavenger hunt, had locker races, ate ice cream treats, and laughed a lot. The middle school team is looking forward to a great year! #Pioneers

The High School Band completed their summer season on Friday night with a pep band performance for the home football game versus Nekoosa. The band's summer season consisted of marching rehearsals and performances at Dairylicious Days, the Coloma Chicken Chew, and two pep band performances for the first two home football games of the season. The band will kick off the school year with a pep band performance at the home volleyball match on September 3rd. #Pioneers
