*Drum roll* Introducing Carmen, a sophomore who is a featured dancer and understudy to Tanya in this year's production of Mamma Mia. She enjoys music and art, and helping paint sets for the show. He loves singing in front of a crowd and showing off his amazing acting skills. It is his junior year and is not his first time seeing the stage. When asked what his favorite ABBA song is, he said, "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme". Often you’ll see him loving God, playing basketball, and taking pictures. Mamma Mia, here we go again! Westfield Area High School is proud to present their fall musical, "Mamma Mia!", running November 6-8 at 7:00 PM, and November 9 at 1:00 PM. There will also be an understudy performance on Saturday, November 8 at 1:00 PM featuring all understudy performers and K-6 students who participated in our second annual kid's camp! Meet Ellie, the latest member of the "Cast and Crew Member Spotlight"! Ellie is playing the understudy of Donna and is in the ensemble! This is Ellie's 4th musical. Previously she has been in Shrek: the Musical, The Addams Family, and Beauty and the Beast, along with 2 murder mystery plays. Ellie is a second year WSMA state honors participant and is very excited to be able to be a leader both on and off stage this year. Last Tuesday, October 7th, select high school choir members traveled to UW-Platteville for their annual choral festival. Students spent the day working with guest conductors to learn 4 songs, and perform them at a concert at the end of the evening. Our students showed outstanding musicianship throughout the day, and were able to work with Westfield alumni Alyssa Joy! Congratulations to all who participated! #Pioneers
