A group of 4th & 5th grade students participated in the districts spelling bee. These students were selected based on their performance in their classroom spelling bees earlier this month. The top 5 students are moving onto the Regional Spelling Bee at Portage High School on January 28.

Due to the continued forecast of extremely cold temperatures and potentially unsafe conditions for student transportation:
All afterschool activities scheduled for Monday, January 20, are canceled.
School and all afterschool activities are canceled for Tuesday, January 21.
Tickets are on sale for the third annual Murder Mystery Dinner, "Dinner's in the Heir"! This show will feature TWO performances- one on Saturday, February 8th at 6:30 PM and one on Saturday, February 15th at 6:30 PM. We will begin appetizers and mocktails at 6:00 PM, and dinner will begin at 6:30 PM. During the three course dinner, patrons will be entertained by band and choir students performing their solo and ensemble selections, short drama scenes, and forensics students performing their pieces. Immediately after dinner, the main show, "Murder's in the Heir" will be held in the auditorium, and will feature art from students at Westfield Area High School.
Tickets are $15 for students in grades K-12 and $20 for adults. Tables are able to hold up to 8 guests, and there is limited seating for these performances. Ticket pricing includes appetizers, a three course dinner, and access to the main stage show. Mocktails, Seroogy's/Vandewalles candy, and 50/50 raffle tickets will also be available for purchase. All proceeds from the show go towards supporting future musical performances, creating scholarships for students in the drama department, and ensuring that students are able to participate in the musicals at zero cost.
