Our elementary students started a classroom challenge at the beginning of October. Their goal was to earn paper chain links by completing acts of kindness. They did an outstanding job and worked well as a team in their classroom.

He has been playing trombone since middle school, and says that music was his safe space growing up. Over the summer, elementary students were challenged to read to help them retain the reading skills they had learned throughout the school year. Students who chose to participate, documented what they read on a Read-Opoly Game Board and they wrote about their favorite books on the back of their game boards.
On Wednesday, September 25th, students who completed the Read-Opoly Summer Reading Challenge were awarded a half-day experience at Pine Lake playing games, making s'mores and tie-dying cinch sacks.
Students were very grateful for the experience and encouraged their friends to participate next year.

Come visit the Westfield High School Student Council at Westfield Area High School on Halloween night for the 13th annual WAHS Trick-or-Treat Spooktacular! The event runs from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, October 31st.
Student council members will be dressed up in various costumes as kids go from classroom to classroom hunting down candy to add to their yearly stash. All this while providing a comfortable and safe environment where kids are sure to have a great time.
Kids of all ages are invited to come and visit the decorated halls of the high school and collect some delicious candy. Please enter through the Band and Choir doors. Per school board policy, no animals are allowed inside the building.
There is no charge for admission, but donations are appreciated. If any business or individual would like to help with a monetary donation, please send it to Westfield Area High School, c/o WAHS Student Council.

Meet Alana, the latest student featured in the "Cast and Crew Member Spotlight"! Alana is a freshman playing the Candle Woman and understudying Monsieur D'arque. This will be her third musical. While not practicing, Alana enjoys making art, hanging out with her friends, and helping with student council.
