Summer School is off to a great start. Here is a sneak peak of what is happening in For the Love of Reading! After reading The Ginger Bread Man, students were able to create their own gingerbread men with water colors. After reading Wake Me in Spring by James Preller, students "skated" across the room. Students also read More Spaghetti, I Say by Rita Golden Gelman. First they dyed spaghetti noodles, then they made noodle art! #Pioneers

Congratulations to Ellie E., Ben A., and Katie M. on their acceptance into WSMA Honors Choir. Ellie and Ben will be singing in the Mixed Choir, and Katie will be singing in the Treble Choir. The WSMA State Honors Music Project is nationally recognized as one of the finest opportunities for young people. Almost 1,500 auditions were registered for 430 positions in five ensembles for the 2025 High School State Honors Music Project. Selection identifies a student as one of Wisconsin’s finest high school musicians. Ellie, Ben and Katie will attend a week long camp at UW-Eau Claire, and will perform a final concert at Overture Center of the Arts in October. Congratulations to our outstanding musicians! #Pioneers

Choir survivor is underway! Students created teams of 8 to compete in various music and choir games to win the ultimate title of "Choir Survivor". Yesterday, teams wrote their team national anthem, competed in a competition to see who could singing the highest, lowest, and longest, and had their first elimination of the season. Team "Dilliest Pickles" won immunity with their stunning anthem, and our very first team eliminated was team "Prettiest Pirates". Only 7 teams remain, who will be the "Choir Survivor"? Tune in for a DOUBLE elimination! #Pioneers (Please note: Team "Hubba Bubbas" are not pictured in this post, but will be in the next post!)
