Meet the latest member in the "Cast and Crew Member Spotlight", Lucy! Lucy is a sophomore playing Babette in the Castle Cast. You may have last seen her as Tabitha Cincannon in "Murder at the Art Gallery" or on stage crew in "The Addams Family". The Westfield Middle School Cross Country Team competed in the Middle School State Championships in Weyauwega on Saturday. Nine of the runners ran their personal best time for the 2 mile race! Congratulations to Flynn on earning a medal as the third 6th grade boy to cross the finish!

The High School Volleyball team honored the teachers on Teacher Appreciation Night on October 3rd. Each player picked a teacher that has made an impact on their academic and athletic journey thus far. Players then designed a personalized shirt for their staff member to wear to the game! Fourth graders in Mrs. Francis‘s class have been working on writing complete sentences with subjects and predicates. In a recent activity, students worked collaboratively to identify complete sentences and fragments to be complete sentences.

Members of Mrs. Walters' Mock Trial class recently held a practice trial while waiting for their year's competition case to be released. The case was based on the Peter Rabbit fairy tale. The students divided up into two teams with some acting as witnesses and some as lawyers. One student also played the role of bailiff. On the two days of the trial, students from study hall came to fulfill the role of the jury and Mrs. Walters was the judge.

The High School Volleyball team hosted their annual pink out "Setting up a Cure for Cancer" night at the beginning of October. The team sold shirts to wear to the event and also did a miracle minute the night of the game where they passed a bucket for donations during the match. Overall they were able to raise $900 for Marquette County Budda Box organization to help cancer patients in our community. Pictured are our Senior Volleyball players and managers along with Budda Box board member Monica Locke.
